Domino’s totally rocks!

Ok, so I know I will sound like a complete dweeb, but I cannot help it. I am loving Domino’s new promotion!

I pulled up the website not expecting much, mostly only pulled up Domino’s because they are someone I know is in my area, since I see the cars with the signs often on the way home from work. I walk and I work really late at night (most nights I get home at 11) so I am generally tired when I get home. Friday (today) is the one night I get home early and I was really not looking forward to cooking. Thus, the reason I pulled up the website in the first place (still with me so far?)

Ok, so I have seen the commercials and wondered about the new selections of pizza. I chose the Cali bacon, chicken, and ranch pizza. Bacon and chicken (Oh Yeah!) I also selected the Cheese bread, Cinni bread and some soda. (I feel like a pig telling you that, but I like to load up for several days eating if I am spending the cash)

I clicked order and this tracker thing comes up on the screen. It says level 2: Alex is making my pizza. (wha?) Seems they have this tracker thingy that actually follows my order from makery to delivery! I love gadgets so my secret geeks ears perked right up! Then I saw it! The thing that made me say WOOT~! The tracker can be placed on FACEBOOK! BOOYA! I was soo excited I nearly peed myself.

I added it to my Facebook, Coolest gadget ever to grace a Facebook page, and the food was apparently in the oven, placed there carefully Level 3: by Alex again! I got a ton of comments from friends the moment it appeared, mostly people saying how super cool it was, I mean interactive ordering!! That completely rocks.

I watched as the tracker changed to level 4, “We are checking your pizza for perfection”, or something like that. Then level 5..”Sandra is now delivering your pizza” I went downstairs and waited.  I wanted to see how true to timing they were on this tracker thing. Sure enough 10 minutes later..Domino’s arrived at my door. I had to know, just had too..so I asked her “Are you Sandra?” She said yes! So far Domino’s is exceeding all expectations.

I brought the pizza up to my room and opened the box. Pizza was hot, and looked..OMG. AMAZING. I have never seen anything so gorgeous come out of a pizza box, and I went to college, so you can imagine how many pizza boxes have floated past these eyes. It was just plain gorgeous in presentation. You would never know it came in a cardboard box.

I took a slice and tried not to moan out loud when I got my first bite. Hot, cheesy and just plain delish! They did not miss a single item from my list, they were right on time with my order, they intriqued and entertained me (and my Facebook friends) with the coolest gadget I have ever seen with that new tracker thingy, and they provided a pizza that not only looked yummy, but delivered (literally) in taste!

I am not one to gush over any product, and I certainly don’t get proceeds from telling anyone I like a product (though, man that would be cool) I just cannot explain how happy it made me to 1) Not have to cook when I am soo tired. 2) Have something  happen I did not expect 3) Get something a step above what I expected in the food category.

I know it is not a world changing event, it’s just dinner, but when it comes to the many options tossed at me daily for something to spend my money on, it is just nice to find something that is being presented on a level I had gotten use to being sub-standard in the past. I am loving the new Domnio’s philosophy and I will be calling again!

Ps. Apparently I am not the only one who thinks this Domino’s thing is awesome..check the link below! Seems to me the other pizza companies better catch up soon, or they will be eating Domino dust.
